Min's Place

I wanted a perfect ending.  Now I’ve learned the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end.  Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.  Delicious ambiguity.

A friend is someone who can see the truth and pain in you, even when you are fooling everyone else.

This is me!

And just who am I?  I am a 4th of July

Baby with a temper that matches the

Fireworks.  I am stubborn.  I do not give up on anything

Important to me.  I will fight for anything worthy of my believing in it.  I am a mom.  Fiercely protective of my kids.  Yet encouraging of them becoming whoever they are supposed to be. . .even if it turns out to not be what I’d choose for them.  I am a sister to the dude called “uncle David”.  He is my “big” little brother at 6’4”. . .he likes to rest his elbows on my head!  I am a wife.  I married my high school sweetheart.  We are like two bulls in a ring.  We keep running into each other head first, knocking ourselves silly, and coming back for more.  I am also, at age 31, a breast cancer survivor.  I’m not supposed to be here right now. . .I guess I forgot to listen to that part.  But then, I’ve never liked being told what to do!!  And I’ve never liked doing things the “normal” way.
